Green Yatra is a leading environmental NGO in India and a dedicated green yatra (green journey) towards protection, conservation and betterment of nature and humanity. Green Yatra has a driven passion to reduce pollution and support farmers through planting trees and tackle mega projects in rural areas and mass tree plantations. Their focus is to fight the climate crisis, and are therefore working to provide sustainable solutions for a greener world through their projects Ecosystem Rejuvenation (Air, Water, Soil) and Sustainable Solutions. They involve communities, raise awareness, and encourage implementation on the ground, ultimately working together to create a healthy and pollution-free India.

Aaranyak is a leading wildlife NGO based in Guwahati, India. Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is a non-profit public interest research and advocacy organization based in New Delhi, India. The ICC is a first-of-its kind, India-focused collaborative that aims to direct funding and visibility towards climate action in India. The ICC is a coalition to drive collective investment and connect diverse voices, and in doing so, craft a uniquely Indian response to climate change, attuned to the country’s needs and development priorities. The ICC seeks to: connect and strengthen the Indian climate community; build a compelling, India-focused climate narrative; and drive climate solutions that help people and nature thrive.

Initiatives for New Ecological Community Concerns (INECC)

INECC is a national network of organizations and individuals, who all connect on the issue of climate change from the perspective of marginalized communities. The network was initiated in 1996 by a few development practitioners in India, who saw the link between the climate crisis and the larger issues of sustainable development and social justice. INECC works to bring climate change and sustainable development concerns of the marginalized majority and bring their voices into policy dialogues.

Navdanya

Navdanya is an Earth Centric, Women-centric and Farmer-led movement for the protection of Biological and Cultural Diversity. Navdanya, meaning “nine seeds” works to ensure seed conservation and biodiversity in order to promote culture conservation and overall sustainability practices. Not only does their work conserve nature and biodiversity, but their work also provides the people of India with free seeds in order to help those struggling with food security. Their hope is that smaller-scale farming will lessen greenhouse gas emissions and that farming without harmful chemicals will protect their country’s valuable resources such as water and natural habitats.

Public Advocacy Initiatives for Rights and Values in India (PAIRVI)

Public Advocacy Initiatives for Rights and Values in India (PAIRVI) works at the intersections of development, rights and sustainability. They also provide advocacy and capacity building support to grassroots organizations and community based organizations, who otherwise have very limited opportunities for capacity building. Main areas of their work is policy analysis, capacity building, protection of human rights and promotion of rights based approach to development, human rights advocacy and monitoring. Thematic areas include sustainable agriculture and food security, climate change and sustainable development, livelihoods, affirmative actions, human rights training and capacity building.

RNB Project Aspire Today to Eternity Foundation

RNB Project Aspire was founded in 2017 by a potent trio: doctor, engineer, and fashion designer- all of whom were determined to make basic infrastructure and a sustainable living environment available for children, patients, and the elderly. The foundation’s main focus is on children and healthcare, however, they’re also involved with water conservation and sustainable water management. Through RNB’s work, they are able to educate their community on conserving water and being more sustainable.
