Climate Youth Japan (CYJ)

Climate Youth Japan (CYJ) is a network-type youth environment NGO founded by a Japanese youth community who participated in the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP15) in the spring of 2010. They hold a vision of the youth leading solutions to the climate change crisis to gain an equitable and sustainable society, along with aiming to achieve the 2°C/1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement and to help youths in the decision-making process of society.

Friends of the Earth Japan (FoE Japan)

Friends of the Earth Japan has been actively working to create a fair, equitable, and sustainable society in Japan since 1980. Their approach is to study and analyze environmental problems from the perspective of affected local communities, urge Japanese policymakers to change the existing system, mobilize the international network, and change with those who seek a better society. Projects are focused on conservation initiatives to protect endemic species, advocating to end coal-fired power plants and nickel mines, and environmental and human rights issues.

Japan Network for Climate Change Actions (JNCCA)

Japan Network for Climate Change Actions promotes global warming countermeasures by providing technical support to groups that carry out global warming prevention activities in their regions to make those activities more effective. Although they provide technical support, guidance and advice for projects implemented by organizations, they also perform global warming surveys and research and hold workshops or lectures on global warming prevention.

Kiko Network

Kiko network is an environmental NGO that aims to tackle climate change and shift towards a sustainable global society through creating models and working on education problems on a community and local level. Heroines for Environment and Rural Support

NPO Heroines for Environment and Rural Support, also referred to as HERS, is a Japanese organization which strives to empower women in the field of agriculture. The Japanese Sustainable Investment Forum, or JSIF, is a nonprofit organization working to promote sustainable investing in Japan and across the world. JSIF specializes in ESG (environmental, social, and governance) investment and SRI (socially responsible investment) in Japan, providing a platform for investors to gain valuable insights into the field of sustainability. JSIF’s biennial “White Paper” is one of their biggest projects, outlining Japan’s contribution and progress in sustainable investing. Japan Wildlife Conservation Society (JWCS)

Japan Wildlife Conservation Society (JWCS) is a not for profit organization focused on the conservation of wildlife in Japan and around the world.
