Marshallese Educational Initiative

The Marshallese Educational Initiative (MEI), founded in Arkansas in 2009, works to raise awareness of Marshallese history and create a constructive dialogue around climate change. The Marshall Islands have been subject to decades of American nuclear testing and climate change consequences. Through their educational programs and participation in international climate conventions, such as COP24, the Initiative is working for a more just and sustainable future for people within and outside the Marshallese community.
