Confederação Portuguesa das Associações de Defesa do Ambiente (CPADA)
The Portuguese Confederation of Environmental Defense Associations is the largest environmental organization in Portugal, composed of 110 environmental NGOs which represents tens of thousands of members. The NGOs come at a national, regional and local scale and diversely vary from focus of nature conservation to alternative transportation, from farming to outdoor activities. The Confederation’s goal is to better coordinate information, decision, and debate processes on the environment between the CSOs and ONGs while promoting and ensuring information exchange between the NGOs.

Quercus (ONGA)
Quercus is a Portuguese NGO that focuses on a diverse array of topics regarding environmental issues such as conservation of nature and biodiversity, energy, water, waste, climate change, forests, sustainable consumption, environmental responsibility, and more. They are mostly active with their work in Portugal by creating awareness about Portugal’s environmental issues and also work to promote more eco-friendly lifestyle options. They are also known to protect the environment by fighting legal battles in Portuguese and European courts.
