Syrian Environment Protection Society
The Syrian Environment Protection Society, also known as SEPS, is an environmentally-focused NGO based in Damascus, Syria. The Syrian Environment Protection Society is the first environment NGO established in Syria. SEPS recognizes the complex intersection of human rights, ecological and environmental concerns, and politics in Syria and works to fight malnutrition, drought, contamination of natural resources, and poor air quality. SEPS’ number one aim is to elevate and spread Environmental awareness and ecological education within Syria as well as to further the study of the environment.

Syrian Society for the Conservation of Wildlife
Syrian Society for the Conservation of Wildlife (SSCW) is concerned with conserving the biodiversity of various ecosystems and their respective components. Their focus includes animals, plants, and terrestrial, marine, and freshwater organisms, aiming to rehabilitate these ecosystems and endangered species. SSCW optimizes its practices to ensure the development of local communities through capacity building of various groups, increasing their environmental awareness, rights, and responsibilities relaying the latest findings of studies and research.
