Taiwan Environmental Information Association
Founded in 2001, Taiwan Environmental Information Association (TEIA) focuses on spreading environmental information among the public and strengthening the equilibrium between mankind and nature. As a charitable trust, TEIA initiates actions addressing biodiversity-related issues, strengthens civic engagement, combines information and action, promotes environmental education, and increases cross-media and international partnership. As of 2019, TEIA has more than 70,000 e-newsletter subscribers and over 200,000 environmental information graphic materials. Most notably, in 2014, the organization was entrusted with managing Taiwan’s first environmental trust site–the Hsinchu Nature Valley Environmental Education Base. *Conservation, Education, Community

Environmental Quality Protection Foundation (EQPF)
Established in 1984, the Environmental Quality Protection Foundation is an environmental NGO in Taiwan that emphasizes the interconnectedness between people’s livelihoods and the quality of the environment. The organization advocates for climate change, carbon reduction, energy justice, water conservation through public education, community participation in tree planting, and becoming involved in international environmental movements. EQPF has launched several education programs in schools, curated online courses, and developed public awareness campaigns on a local level. They also annually participate in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and convention on Biological Diversity Conferences (CBD) for government parties.

Citizen of the Earth, Taiwan (CET)
CET is a not-for-profit environmental justice advocacy organization that combines the resources of two accomplished environmental organizations, Mercy on the Earth Taiwan and Taiwan Environmental Action Network. In 2010, CET became Taiwan’s first foundation dedicated to environmental justice with the financial support of 174 donors. The CET staff is reputable for their thorough and incisive investigation and research to offer practical and environmentally sustainable solutions. They have many successful efforts in CO2 emission reductions, lobbying, and promoting greater citizen awareness and education.

The Society of Wilderness
The Society of Wilderness was founded in 1995 in Taiwan in order to promote public awareness surrounding environmental issues on a national scale while using a global perspective. They primarily seek to achieve this and the preservation of a healthy environment for generations to come through education, habitat preservation efforts, and public participation. They offer many services to the public, including seminars, training courses, and volunteer opportunities. They have 10 branches and 14 liaison agencies in Taiwan.

The Taiwan Youth Climate Coalition (TWYCC)
TWYCC was officially launched in 2011 and they are the first environmental non-profit organization established by the Taiwan youth. The organization consists of a group of young people all across Taiwan who are passionate about environmental protection and climate change issues. They not only have over a 10-year experience in participating in Conferences of Parties held under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, but they are also one of the proactive participants of YOUNGO, the youth constituency within the UN framework.
