350 Vietnam

Since its establishment in 2011, 350 Vietnam is the largest youth led climate change movement in Vietnam. As part of the international 350 movement, they also promote, inspire and engage the public to adopt green living and production practices as practical contributions to slowing down the global climate change, and offer support to climate change affected communities.

In just over two years of operation, 350 Vietnam has recruited over 10,000 volunteers in 20 provinces, and over 30 Vietnamese Celebrity Goodwill Ambassadors.

Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR)

CECR was established in 2009 under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) as a Vietnamese NGO. Its mission is to promote and support organizations, businesses, and community participation in environmental protection. CECR aims to become the leading center in institutional analysis and policy development and dialogue, education, and communication in order to create the highest social benefits based on environmental protection solutions. CECR partners with others to advocate and advance scientific research, environmental education, public policy, stewardship, women’s empowerment, and community involvement to sustain and improve Vietnam’s existing aquatic resources for future generations. CECR is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Viet Nam Urban Forum, and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

CHANGEVN

Founded in 2013, CHANGE is one of the few most dynamic non-profit environmental organizations in Ho Chi Minh City. CHANGE encourages and promotes the preservation and preservation of the environment through education and creative communication to change habits and inspire the community to act in Vietnam together.

CHANGE is under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), a Vietnamese NGO. They accompany 350.org’s global movement on calling the public to fight climate change and also cooperate with WILDAID to lower wildlife product demand.

Education for Nature-Vietnam

Education for Nature in Vietnam is an NGO founded in 2000 to create a more sustainability-oriented environment in Vietnam. The organization focuses its efforts on wildlife conservation and working towards ending Vietnam’s illegal wildlife trade. They create a space for both public and policy work to be done to ensure the lives of the animals in Vietnam are safe. ENV has even created a hotline for people to call in a report any animal abuse occurring in Vietnam.

Keep It Beautiful Vietnam

Keep It Beautiful Vietnam is an international NGO that aims to foster sustainable development in Vietnam through environmental education and social and cultural promotion. In environmental protection, KIBV has played an active role in targeting and alleviating Vietnam’s littering issues by working with local governments and raising awareness through public outreach. KIBV also organizes exhibitions and workshops in different schools in the Hòa Bình Province, where important information on the environment and littering issues are addressed and exchanged, further advising young students on their vital role in protecting the environment. Since its inception, the organization has partnered with corporations, educational institutions, and other NGOs on its mission to elevate sustainable and environmental progress in Vietnam.

Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD)

The Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) is a Vietnamese non-governmental organization. MSD takes efforts to improve the environment for the development of the civil society sector and to promote the rights of marginalized groups, especially children, youth, women, and people with disabilities. The organization focuses on critical issues such as providing capacity-building programs for CSOs in Vietnam through policy advocacy and resource mobilization, creating shared value programs with partners, and promoting women’s and children’s rights. With all its achievements, MSD is currently the coordinator and member of the Executive Committee of the Child Rights Governance Network, Gender-based Violence Prevention Network, and Working group for Children’s Rights.

Vietnam Green Generation Network

Vietnam Green Generation Network is a network of young people. It was founded in 2008 by environmental volunteer groups in Hanoi and Da Nang. At present, Green Generation Network is the largest environmental youth network in Vietnam. Clubs and individuals across the country have joined this network to raise community awareness about environmental issues, connect and coordinate environmental activities, and support/promote environmental projects across the country.
